We’re looking for a passionate, part-time Cook at our Sacramento location. Bring your skills to a team that values quality, teamwork, and care!
The Cook II performs advanced food preparation tasks and supports meal service execution. This position requires a solid understanding of cooking techniques and food safety standards. Cook II assists with recipe execution, maintains kitchen cleanliness, and helps train Cook I staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare meals according to recipes, with attention to quality and presentation.
- Adjust recipes for dietary restrictions when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas.
- Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Mentor and support Cook I staff.
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely service.
- Assist with meal service delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one to two years of culinary experience.
- Strong knowledge of basic cooking methods and food safety.
- Must obtain Food Handler’s Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Successful completion of background check, drug test, physical, and TB screening.
- Valid driver's license.
