SITE DIRECTOR

Purpose:
As the Site Director you will be responsible for the overall site production operations. The role will build effective relationships with leaders across operations functions and have a strong focus on our foundational “Do Work, Love Strong” culture. It's a senior management position that requires a high level of expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to fuel the growth of Diamond C.
Responsibilities:
Directly, and through delegation, coordinates activities required to assure safety, quality, delivery and cost meet specified targets.
Manages site level P&L
Responsible for Continuous improvement
Assures the compliance of behavior based safety initiatives and continuously improves safety performance.
Holds direct responsibility for managing cost by effective management of labor, overtime and expenditures.
Reviews and analyzes production reports to determine root causes of variance from budget, and develops and executes corrective actions.
Facilitates the execution of daily gemba walk by assuring the proper utilization of SQDC boards.
Directs the efforts of plant supervision to ensure the consistent application of human resource policies, procedures, and plant rules. Assures adherence to safety accountability guidelines.
Coaches and mentors team members to assure their ongoing development
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Operations and/or Lean Management.
P&L responsibility experience and proficiency
Experience in being a change agent in complex transformational activities.
Significant experience in implementation of Lean principles as they apply to manufacturing operations.
Ability to apply structured problem solving methodologies to determine root cause of problems and provide effective countermeasures.
Excellent communication skills
Experience in writing/developing production procedures
Experience in budget management and cost control measures.
Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
In-depth understanding of trailer manufacturing processes and technologies.
New product launch experience a plus
