HVAC and Plumbing Technician

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Perform plumbing repairs and installations, ensuring proper function of water supply, drainage, and related mechanical components.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R (refrigeration) equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Service various appliances and mechanical systems within commercial or residential properties while adhering to safety standards.
• Diagnose electrical issues using specialized tools; repair or replace faulty components to restore system functionality.
• Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or system upgrades.

Experience

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles, schematics reading, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration).
• Mechanical skills including welding, boiler operation, appliance repair, and general equipment repair.
• Field service experience working directly on HVAC units, plumbing systems, or related mechanical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with property maintenance tasks such as air conditioning servicing and general mechanical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles is preferred. Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
