Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
• Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies, to promote safety and comfort
• Manage household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Implement behavior management techniques tailored to individual resident needs and developmental disabilities
• Operate standard passenger cars safely for resident outings or errands in accordance with traffic laws and safety standards
• Conduct manual handling procedures for heavy lifting or transferring residents safely using proper techniques
• Communicate effectively with residents’ families, healthcare providers, and team members to coordinate care plans
• Ensure compliance with health regulations by maintaining accurate documentation of resident care activities and incident reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings with a focus on geriatrics or memory care- Bilingual Preferred
• Strong knowledge of ADLs assistance, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia care techniques
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in medication management or behavioral support are a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe patient lifting practices during transfers or manual handling tasks
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating standard passenger vehicles for community outings or errands
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a residential care environment
