Position Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist independently prepares, dispenses, and administers radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates advanced imaging equipment, processes and evaluates acquired data, and ensures a seamless patient experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures independently using radiation-detecting instrumentation

Process images, complete computer analysis, and provide data for physician interpretation

Obtain patient history, explain procedures clearly, and answer patient questions

Monitor patients throughout procedures and document relevant observations

Maintain radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance standards

Communicate pertinent findings and patient information to the Radiologist

Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgment

Perform IV/venipuncture as required
Ideal Candidate Profile

Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist with prior solo work experience

Comfortable managing workflow independently in an outpatient setting

Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and patient-centered

Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Team-oriented mindset with the confidence to work autonomously
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Junior College/Technical School
Certification/Registration
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Society
- Basic CPR Certification
Experience
- 1 Year of Nuclear Medicine Experience
Preferred
- 2 Years of Nuclear Medicine Experience
