Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including but not limited to tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service while transporting goods to designated locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific driving conditions.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized vehicles.
- Experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safe loading/unloading practices.
- Ability to operate forklifts is a plus.
