Role Description The Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Schaumburg, IL. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that support packaging machinery and facility operations. Day-to-day tasks include developing electrical drawings, selecting components, and ensuring proper installation and commissioning of electrical equipment. The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues on production lines, optimizing power distribution for reliability and safety, and coordinating with maintenance, production, and engineering teams. The Electrical Engineer will also help implement improvements for energy efficiency, support compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards, and assist with preventive maintenance planning and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical knowledge of Electricity and industrial applications.
- Experience in Electrical Design for machinery, control panels, and facility systems.
- Knowledge of Power Distribution, including load analysis and safe system configuration.
- Understanding of Power Systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
- Proficiency with electrical design and CAD software, and basic PLC or control systems exposure is beneficial.
