Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager with prior Marriott and IHG hotel experience to lead all aspects of hotel operations. The General Manager is responsible for driving financial performance, delivering exceptional guest satisfaction, ensuring brand standards compliance, and developing a high-performing leadership team in alignment with Marriott and IHG core values and service culture standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Experience
- Lead day-to-day hotel operations in compliance with Marriott and IHG brand standards and SOPs
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and strong GSS / Medallia scores (Marriott) and IHG Guest Love metrics
- Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally to ensure brand loyalty
- Maintain property condition, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with brand requirements
Financial & Revenue Management
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance
- Maximize revenue through collaboration with Marriott and IHG Revenue Management systems
- Control expenses while maintaining service excellence
- Analyze STR reports, market trends, and competitive set performance
- Drive RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy growth aligned with brand expectations
Systems & Technology (Marriott & IHG Experience Required)
Proficient in Marriott systems including:
- FOSSE / OPERA PMS
- Marriott One Yield / RMS
- MARSHA
- GXP (Global eToolbox)
- HPP (Hotel Planning & Procurement)
- mHUB, OASIS, and MGS
Proficient in IHG systems including:
- OPERA PMS (IHG configuration)
- Concerto / IHG Concerto PMS
- Merlin
- IHG Concerto Revenue Tools
- IHG Way of Clean & Brand Portal platforms
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting compliance, and full system utilization
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and retain department heads and associates
- Foster a culture aligned with Marriott and IHG Service Culture and Core Values
- Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and workplace safety standards
Sales, Marketing & Owner Relations
- Partner with Marriott and IHG sales teams and ownership to drive occupancy and ADR
- Support local marketing initiatives and community engagement
- Prepare and present performance reports to ownership and brand representatives
- Lead brand audits, QA inspections, and franchise compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of General Manager experience within Marriott and/or IHG hotels (required)
- Strong knowledge of Marriott and IHG brand standards, systems, and compliance requirements
- Proven track record of driving revenue, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement
- Excellent leadership, communication, and financial acumen
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Marriott and/or IHG internal leadership training programs a plus
