Position Summary:
OFAC Agent– is responsible for obtaining required clearance and screening of OFAC origin/destination shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely clearance through U.S. Customs.
- Review and process shipments efficiently while maintaining compliance with all applicable government agency regulations and requirements.
- Screen, verify, and accurately enter data for all OFAC-regulated shipments.
- Communicate shipment status updates and delays with DHL origin and destination stations to ensure operational visibility and coordination.
- Examine invoices, shipment contents, and shipping documentation to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- Strong understanding of operations and customs processes.
Skills:
- Proficient in computer operations and data entry systems.
- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as bending, stooping, and climbing stairs/ladders.
- Flexibility to work PM shifts and adapt to operational requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DHL programs
