We have an immediate opening for an experienced MHE Automated Maintenance Supervisor based out of our Hub in Erlanger, Kentucky. This individual will be responsible for supervising a small team that will focus on responding to urgent requests why’ll ensuring our sort systems are fully operational with a 100 percent “up time” efficiency rating. This position will be associated with a high paced work environment along with a detailed preventative maintenance program.
Summary
Develop and deliver all objectives and policies as they relate to the maintenance environment. Develop plans and programs as requested to meet present and anticipated needs of the SORT operation. Monitor and inspect all associated systems and equipment to ensure that they are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed. Oversee, recommend, and implement system requirements to safeguard the organization sort equipment and associated support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of all equipment associated to the sort systems and facilities.
- Monitor and inspect all equipment to ensure that sort systems are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed.
- Evaluate completed work and check for conformance to specifications.
- Improves efficiency of all sort operations related systems.
- Initiate internal audit program as it relates to, the preventive maintenance program and document as required.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developmental growth of a subordinate staff. Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes.
- Must have the flexibility to work 3rd shift, weekends & holidays.
Skills & Qualifications:
- An advanced understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
- Knows and effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures relative to quality and productivity improvements, training, budgeting and cost control, and progressive techniques in area of specialization.
- Generally understands basic supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action.
- Requires HS Diploma, BS/BA preferred or equivalent technical certifications
- A minimum of 10 years of industrial / automated maintenance experience is required, as is 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Extensive safety and environmental knowledge in an industrial / automated environment.
- Prior experience with inventory control, and purchasing is a plus
- A working proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Work Environment: This position will work primarily in a climate-controlled facility. To adequately meet the demands and performance standards for this role, candidates must have the ability to: lift up to 75lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for moderate durations.
