Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and preparation of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, and finishing
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, and formwork construction to create sturdy foundations and structures
- Install rebar and metal studs according to blueprint specifications for reinforced concrete and framing projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of plans
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Aid in masonry work, stucco application, roofing, drywall installation, and other renovation activities as needed
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a secure environment for everyone on-site
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade environment is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws, and other construction equipment
- Knowledge of concrete forming, concrete cutting, pouring, finishing, and pumping techniques
- Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, metal stud framing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, restoration work or roofing is desirable
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is a plus
