What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traveling Laborer - South Region position at DGI - Menard INC?
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Following all safety rules and regulations.
- Recognizing and correcting safety hazards.
- Cleaning and maintaining the work site.
- Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining equipment in safe manner.
- Supporting all field activities as required for the assigned project.
- Operating equipment once trained and approved to do so.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to listen, understand and follow directions.
- Ability to remain flexible on work assignments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred. On the job training offered. Prior related experience a plus. Must have the ability to pass required safety certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Out of town travel required for this position!
