Social Media Marketing Specialist

DFW Dorms & Beyond is looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to help grow and manage our digital presence across social media, email, and other marketing channels.

We are a growing dorm décor, furniture, and college lifestyle brand serving both students and parents. This role is ideal for someone who understands social media, enjoys creating visually engaging content, and can take ideas from concept through execution while maintaining a consistent brand voice and aesthetic.

This is a part-time to full-time hybrid role based in Plano, Texas, with a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration based on business needs, content creation, launches, events, and team priorities.

You will work closely with the CEO and DFW Dorms team to plan, create, schedule, and manage content that supports our products, design services, new business initiatives, events, partnerships, and overall brand growth. Your work will include a mix of content creation, social media management, email marketing, campaign execution, and performance tracking.

• Create and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms as needed
• Develop Reels, short-form videos, Stories, graphics, captions, and promotional content
• Maintain and help manage the monthly social media content calendar
• Create content that speaks to both college students and parents while staying true to the DFW Dorms brand voice
• Support product launches, campaigns, giveaways, collaborations, design services, events, and new business initiatives
• Assist with email marketing campaigns, including content, layout, scheduling, and basic performance tracking
• Capture and organize photo and video content during designated content days
• Monitor social trends, trending audio, platform updates, and relevant content opportunities
• Assist with community engagement, including comments and direct messages as needed
• Track basic marketing performance and identify content that is driving engagement, traffic, and conversions
• Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, graphics, and marketing assets
• Collaborate with the team on new campaign ideas and marketing initiatives
• Assist with additional brand and marketing projects as the company continues to grow

• We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with execution. You should enjoy coming up with ideas, but also be comfortable working from a content calendar, meeting deadlines, and consistently producing polished work. The ideal candidate:
• Has previous experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, communications, or a related field
• Understands Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and current social media best practices
• Is comfortable creating and editing short-form video content
• Has strong writing and communication skills
• Has a strong eye for branding, design, photography, and visual consistency
• Is highly organized and able to manage recurring deadlines and deliverables
• Can take direction while also bringing new ideas to the table
• Is comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Can adapt quickly as priorities and marketing needs evolve

This is a hybrid position based in Plano, Texas.

The position will include a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration for content creation, product launches, events, photo and video shoots, team meetings, and other marketing activities.

The role may begin part-time with the opportunity to increase to full-time based on business needs, candidate availability, and continued company growth.
