Role Description The Boutique Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the boutique and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role manages the sales floor, ensures that product presentation and merchandising standards reflect the DFS and T Galleria luxury positioning, and monitors stock levels to support smooth store operations. The Boutique Manager leads, coaches, and develops a diverse team to achieve sales targets, service goals, and operational KPIs while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Day-to-day activities include supervising customer service interactions, resolving issues, implementing promotional initiatives, reporting on boutique performance, and aligning team activities with brand guidelines and company policies. The Boutique Manager also partners with cross-functional teams to support visual merchandising, marketing activities, and continuous improvement in boutique performance.
Qualifications
- Strong boutique and retail operations experience, with the ability to manage daily store activities and maintain high luxury retail standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on delivering personalized, traveler-centric experiences to a global clientele.
- Solid product knowledge in luxury retail categories and the ability to train team members to present and sell products confidently and accurately.
- Proven team management skills, including coaching, performance management, scheduling, and fostering an inclusive, results-oriented culture.
- Experience in sales and KPI management, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive boutique performance.
- Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility for retail hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic office software; experience in omnichannel or travel retail environments is an advantage.
- Prior supervisory experience in luxury, fashion, beauty, or travel retail strongly preferred; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is beneficial.
