POSITION SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, the position performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical and limited electrical duties to include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of bottling production equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains bottling equipment and associated infrastructure, including but not limited to hardware, machinery, and line synchronization equipment.

Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls and PLCs desired.

Responsible for maximizing efficiency of bottling line changeovers, adjustments, synchronization of equipment and equipment up-time.

Assembles and installs mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment and systems, to include bottling production machinery, tooling, and conveyor systems.

Performs preventative and predictive maintenance and maintains accurate and timely records.

Makes recommendations for process and efficiency improvements and, as applicable, executes action plans for these improvements.

Follows general housekeeping procedures including organizing parts, machines, and shop cleaning.

Conducts on-going assessment of safety and operational procedures.

Ensures line up-time to meet bottling schedule.

Maintains equipment to meet packaging standards and established guidelines.

Responds as needed to emergency maintenance calls.

Disassembles malfunctioning equipment; examines and tests mechanisms on large and small machinery. Reassembles and tests equipment and adjusts calibration to ensure equipment is functioning within specified standards.

Inspects and calibrates instruments.

Ensures that all machine guarding is compliant with OSHA and company safety standards.

Comply with all required PPE and OSHA regulatory requirements.

Submits requisitions for parts and materials to Manager.

Must be able to work independently, with minimal or no direct supervision.

Assistance in other departments as needed, as applicable (e.g., Bottling, Cellar, Facilities).

May be required to work overtime and/or swing shift.

Performs other duties as assigned by Bottling Maintenance Manager.

Must be available to work overtime, as required.

Proficient with MS Office

Valid California Driver’s License with ability to operate company vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
3 years advanced experience working directly in repair, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and efficiency maximization of bottling line mechanical and electrical equipment.

Formal factory training on bottling line equipment, preferred.

Coursework, technical training, or trade schooling desired in areas applicable to position and equipmen
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS

Valid CDL with ability to make parts runs, deliver equipment for repair, etc.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The bottling line presents a challenging environment and may present exposure to hazardous conditions.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to steel toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, reflective vest, etc.

The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Hearing and eye protection equipment are required in all bottling areas.

Alertness and the ability to quickly respond to equipment malfunctions is required.

Must be able walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, bend, crouch, squat, stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties

WORK SHIFT: Mid-Shift, 11am - 7:30pm
HOURLY SALARY RANGE: $30.00 - $34.00
This annual salary range reflects the expected hiring range for this position. Please note that this salary is solely for candidates hired to perform work within California and refers to the amount DFG Beverage is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
