Sanitation Supervisor

Position Summary: Provides general leadership and work direction for all work performed in the sanitation department. Assists with the enforcement of safety regulations. This role is critical to ensure our facility remains clean, safe, and fully operational for the next production day.  

Shift: 5/8’s - Sunday 9pm-5:30, Monday-Thursday 11pm-7:30am  

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Supervises and coordinates all tasks for the sanitation crew during the graveyard shift. 

• Understand and oversee daily sanitation practices to ensure GMP practices are upheld.  

• Oversee emergency repairs to minimize downtime 

• Conducts hourly inspections and completes shift reports documenting crew performance, safety issues, and operational concerns.  

• Collaborates with swing and day shift bottling managers to ensure seamless handoffs and continuity of operations.  

• Maintains sanitation supply inventory 

• Prints sanitation nightly work orders 

• Maintains sanitation spreadsheets 

• Ensure timecards are correct 

• Help with yearly employee performance reviews 

Required Qualifications: 

• Ability to work flexible shifts including the main shift assignment being graveyard 

• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and understand, follow and provide direction to all graveyard employees. 

• 1 year of supervisor experience in manufacturing or sanitation 

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED 

• Must be able to read and write in English to adequately complete sanitation documents used in our auditing process 

• Must have computer skills to file documentation and work with Excel and Word in planning and supervisorial tasks.  

• Must use Outlook effectively to communicate within the winery and beyond as needed.  

• Ability to motivate team and collaborate across departments 

• Ability to enforce safety regulations 

• Ability to communicate effectively with skills in reading, writing and basic math 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• The bottling line presents a challenging environment and may present exposure to hazardous conditions.

• Hearing and eye protection equipment are required in all bottling areas. 

• Alertness and the ability to quickly respond to equipment malfunctions is required. 

• Must be able walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, bend, crouch, squat, stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties 

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a continuous basis. 

• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously 

Annual salary range:   $75k – $85k. This annual salary range reflects the expected hiring range for this position. Please note that this salary is solely for candidates hired to perform work within California and refers to the amount DFG Beverage is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
