What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Freight Driver position at DFC Company?
Location: Fargo, ND
Shift and Time: 7:00 am 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays), Seasonal
Wage: Starting at $25/hour, with higher pay based on experience
Valid Commercial Driver's License Required
Summary:
- Transport freight, materials, and equipment between company offices located in Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, Williston, and Brooklyn Park, as well as to designated job sites.
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently while ensuring all cargo is properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to verify safe operating condition and report maintenance needs.
- Operate forklifts and skid-steers to assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials.
- Support yard and field crews as needed based on workload demands.
- Maintain basic knowledge of yard organization, including locations of DFC materials, 3D materials, and tools.
- Participate in biweekly toolbox meetings covering safety, training, deadlines, and product knowledge.
- Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude while assisting in multiple areas of the company during downtime.
- Complete additional duties and assignments as directed by supervisors.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
