Duties

  • Provides supervision to administrative services to include mail processing, records management program, oversight of centralized supply services, and monitors Inter-service Support Agreements (ISAs).
  • Directs provision of facilities/logistics support to include space utilization and management, coordinating facilities modifications, maintenance and repair.
  • Coordinate furniture and equipment requirements and maintenance; managing supply operations; monitoring service contracts; receiving and distributing deliveries from building docks.
  • Responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising a variety of general support services essential to promote the effective, efficient, and timely accomplishment of work within the Center.
  • Develops planning guidance for assigned projects which have been approved for implementation.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience managing and executing facility support operations; evaluating workflows, maintenance procedures, and operational systems to optimize efficiency; and resolving complex logistical or facility issues.

Specialized experience may be demonstrated by a variety of facility operations, such as: monitoring budgets; overseeing inventory; directing facility and equipment maintenance; coordinating procurement or service contracts.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education

GS-11 Substitution of Education for Experience: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
