## Duties
- Provides development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and modification of major finance and/or accounting automation information systems to meet user needs and systems requirements.
- Analyzes functional and technical requirements of IT systems to determine avenues of development or modification necessary to meet mission objectives.
- Participates in systems requirement reviews and coordinates with customer to clarify requirements. Prepares system change/programming specifications, and specifies programming instructions.
- Identifies alternative approaches to the design of current or proposed systems. Identifies how system modifications or new systems or subsystems affect current systems.
- Prepares and executes tests for system or subsystem software validation. Reviews test results for effectiveness in meeting specifications and takes necessary corrective actions based on testing results.

- Specialized experience is defined as:Experience developing, implementing, coding, testing, operating, and modifying software nd automated systems, and conducting systems requirement reviews; applying IT principles and practices in the software development process; experience using Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL) programming language to code and maintain software solutions.
