Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting overall cash flow operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries.
- Maintain up-to-date records of billing transactions and customer accounts.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure billing accuracy.
- Generate reports on billing activity, revenue, and collections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist with month-end closing and audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Milestone based billing experience
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist, Accounts Receivable, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of billing procedures and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in construction or architecture is a plus.
