Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Operations Manager to lead end-to-end production operations in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing and direct-to-consumer fulfillment environment. This leader will own the complete production lifecycle, including job intake, production planning, scheduling, floor execution, quality assurance, finishing, packaging, and shipping coordination.

This role requires a strong operational leader who has personally managed high-volume production ramp-ups during peak or holiday demand periods while maintaining strict service levels, production quality, and labor efficiency. The ideal candidate must bring strong floor leadership, production KPI ownership, workforce planning expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Own daily production scheduling and workflow management to ensure on-time delivery and SLA compliance
• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations including production, finishing, packaging, and fulfillment readiness
• Manage multi-shift production teams, including supervisors, floor associates, and temporary labor during peak demand periods
• Develop labor planning strategies to optimize staffing levels, overtime utilization, and throughput performance
• Coordinate temporary workforce onboarding, accelerated training, and shift deployment during seasonal production surges
• Monitor production KPIs including throughput, units per hour, first-pass yield, scrap, downtime, rework, and on-time performance
• Drive quality assurance initiatives to maintain defect-free output and ensure product consistency
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production inefficiencies or recurring quality issues
• Partner with warehouse, shipping, and plant leadership to align production output with fulfillment capacity
• Support capacity planning for promotional spikes, seasonal demand increases, and new product launches
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, waste elimination, throughput enhancement, and operational scalability
• Maintain strong production floor presence to ensure accountability, safety, discipline, and execution excellence

Qualifications

• 5 years of operations or production management experience in high-volume manufacturing, print production, on-demand manufacturing, or fulfillment operations
• Proven experience personally leading holiday, seasonal, or peak production ramp-ups
• Hands-on experience managing multi-shift manufacturing operations
• Strong experience with temporary labor planning, workforce scaling, and production staffing models
• Experience managing production scheduling, capacity planning, and throughput optimization
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes, defect reduction, and process improvement methodologies
• Experience owning production KPIs, operational reporting, and performance dashboards
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive accountability in a fast-paced floor environment
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or related continuous improvement methodologies preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
