Position Details
- Title: QA Tester/Product Analyst
- Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
- Work Mode: Hybrid (Across Optimist, Plaza, and David Taylor offices in Charlotte, NC)
- Location: Charlotte, NC 28206
- Industry: Energy - Utilities
- Pay: $50 - $55/hr.
Role Overview
The QA Tester/Product Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring product quality for cloud migration initiatives (Swampfox product). This role involves developing test scenarios and scripts, identifying defects, maintaining traceability, and providing execution results to Product Analysts and Product Owners. The ideal candidate will have strong Agile/JIRA experience, digital communications knowledge, and the ability to quickly learn complex communication applications and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and identify areas to be tested
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts
- Define, collect, and document data for testing
- Identify, log, and review defects
- Maintain and retire test cases and scripts at the end of the work effort
- Maintain traceability between test cases/scripts and requirements
- Ensure testing results are documented and accessible
- Provide execution results to Product Analysts and Product Owner
- Ensure the team follows testing standards, guidelines, and methodology
- Review test, validation, and pilot results to meet entry/exit criteria
- Build user documents and script maintenance instructions for automation/performance testing
Required Experience & Skills
- 5-10 years of QA/Product Analyst experience
- JIRA experience preferred
- Agile Frameworks/Ceremonies experience
- qTest experience preferred
- Excel/CSV experience with building and formatting files for testing
- HTML or prior digital communications channel experience preferred
- Ability to quickly learn communications applications, processes, and integrations
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with digital communications and associated technology
