📍 Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)

💰 Pay Rate: $30–$3.75/hour

📅 Contract Duration: 12 Months (Potential Extension)

Overview: We are seeking a Mutual Fund Accountant to support daily fund accounting operations and shareholder accounting activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, processing transactions, and assisting with month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform shareholder, cash, and expense reconciliations

• Process order requests and fund transactions

• Support month-end accounting and cash reconciliation activities

• Prepare and review journal entries, debits, and credits

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

• Calculate and validate daily Net Asset Value (NAV)

• Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies

• Maintain accurate fund accounting records and reports

• Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Mutual Fund Accounting, Fund Accounting, or Investment Accounting

• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting

• Experience with reconciliations and month-end close

• Basic to intermediate Excel skills

• Background in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable is a plus
