The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer supporting production systems
- 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
- Direct experience in Capital Markets, preferably Prime Services and/or Securities Lending
- Strong command of financial data models, workflows, and industry terminology
- Advanced Oracle RDBMS expertise, including: Complex SQL queryingStored procedures, functions, triggers, and viewsObject and user privilege management
- Demonstrated ownership of performance tuning for complex SQL and PL/SQL workloads
- Proven experience designing and supporting high-volume ETL processes (e.g., SQL*Loader or equivalent)
- Strong experience with database modeling and schema design
- Ability to work effectively with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and to develop and/or work with AI agents
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, applied to real financial datasets
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments with command-line proficiency
- Experience delivering work in Agile/Scrum teams
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technology and business teams
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions, from requirements through production support
- Clear, direct communication skills with both engineers and business stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Core Java and/or Python
- Experience with enterprise job schedulers (e.g., Control-M)
- AWS cloud exposure, particularly supporting database or data-platform workloads
- Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in complex, data-intensive domains
