Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join a dynamic data and analytics team within a forward-thinking organization. This role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, transforming datasets, and supporting AI initiatives by leveraging cloud and platform-specific technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in data engineering practices and project experience that demonstrates their ability to contribute effectively to modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support data pipelines and transformations for structured data and, to a lesser extent, unstructured or document-based data use cases.
- Design, implement, and maintain solutions within Databricks, serving as the core platform for engineering activities.
- Utilize modeling and transformation tools such as dbt to structure and document datasets.
- Deploy and operate data solutions within cloud environments, specifically utilizing Azure Cloud services.
- Collaborate with downstream teams by establishing and sharing standards and guidelines to facilitate successful integration into AI-driven projects.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working with Databricks for data engineering tasks.
- Practical experience using dbt or similar tools for data modeling and transformation.
- Working knowledge of cloud deployment, integration, and management within Azure Cloud services.
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with unstructured data and document processing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and understanding of how data underpins AI and machine learning workflows.
- Additional experience with data pipeline automation, data governance, or related areas is a plus.
