Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance an existing Java-based enterprise application. This role involves full lifecycle development, including maintenance, new development, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance Java/Eclipse/WebSphere applications
- Perform design, development, testing, and implementation
- Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL and SQL queries
- Write and support C/C code
- Create and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts and Perl scripts
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Collaborate with team members on system design and development
- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices and quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 10 years of software development experience
- Strong experience with:
- Java, Eclipse, WebSphere
- Oracle (PL/SQL, SQL tuning)
- C/C
- UNIX/Linux (shell scripting)
- Perl
- Windows environments
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience in production support and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or on a team
