Band Director

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and energetic High School Band Director to lead and grow our band program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education, committed to student success, and capable of building a strong, competitive band program. Experience is preferred.Qualifications: Valid teaching license with certification/licensure in the appropriate content areaExperience directing high school band preferredStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to recruit, retain, and motivate student musiciansCommitment to developing a high-quality band program that performs and competes at a high levelResponsibilities: Direct all aspects of the high school band program, including concert band, marching band, and related ensemblesPlan and conduct rehearsals, performances, and competitionsRecruit and retain students to grow the band programFoster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive environment for student musiciansCollaborate with school administration, staff, and community to support the music programManage equipment, uniforms, music library, and program logisticsWork with the Band Parent Organization and collaborate for a successful partnership and support network.Preferred Qualities: Energetic leadership style and passion for student developmentExperience building or expanding a successful band programAbility to engage students, parents, and the community in supporting the bandApplication Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume, proof of licensure, and references according to district hiring procedures.
