Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic High School Band Director to lead and grow our band program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education, committed to student success, and capable of building a strong, competitive band program. Experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
Valid teaching license with certification/licensure in the appropriate content area
Experience directing high school band preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to recruit, retain, and motivate student musicians
Commitment to developing a high-quality band program that performs and competes at a high level
Responsibilities:
Direct all aspects of the high school band program, including concert band, marching band, and related ensembles
Plan and conduct rehearsals, performances, and competitions
Recruit and retain students to grow the band program
Foster a positive, disciplined, and inclusive environment for student musicians
Collaborate with school administration, staff, and community to support the music program
Manage equipment, uniforms, music library, and program logistics
Work with the Band Parent Organization and collaborate for a successful partnership and support network.

Energetic leadership style and passion for student development
Experience building or expanding a successful band program
Ability to engage students, parents, and the community in supporting the band
