Summary of Duties
The K.I.D.S. Assistant/Lead Caregiver is responsible for the general supervision of children, in conjunction with the Lead Caregiver, while promoting a consistent, safe, and nurturing environment through positive interactions by teaching and assisting in daily class activities including lessons, snack, and clean up.
Reports to
K.I.D.S. Lead Caregiver and Program Director/On-Site Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements
- Monitors and engages in planned activities
- Organizes and participates in games, reading to children, and other activities
- Assists in the maintenance of program sites by creating a sanitary and clean environment
- Meets education and experience as required by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services, including but not limited to, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma/GED
Compensation
$14.42/hour through June 30, 2026
$14.71/hour effective July 1, 2026
Work Schedule
June 8 August 19, 2026
Up to 5.5 hours per day, M-F (varying shifts, with additional hours on field trip days)
