Interim Non-Profit Controller
Duration: 3 Months
Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days in Office
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to scale accounting operations within a growing non-profit environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close, financial reporting, and GL activities
- Oversee AP/AR, payroll, cash flow, and internal controls
- Drive automation and process improvements within QBO and integrated systems
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Uniform Guidance, and Audit requirements
- Manage audits and serve as liaison to external auditors and Board
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with leadership to assess team capabilities and support organizational growth
Requirements:
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and building scalable accounting processes
- Background in non-profit accounting, including grant compliance
- Experience with inventory/logistics is preferred
- Proven ability to run process improvements and implement automation
- Strong communicator who can translate financial insights for non-finance stakeholders
