🚘 Hiring: Design Engineer 4 – Exterior Trim Engineer

📍 Location: Newark, CA

We are looking for an experienced Exterior Trim Engineer to support the design and development of innovative exterior trim systems for a leading electric vehicle platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automotive exterior systems, plastics engineering, CAD modeling, and product launch activities in a fast-paced automotive environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, release, and launch exterior trim systems

• Create complex CAD models using CATIA V5/V6

• Support components such as side valences, sill trims, wheelhouse liners, spoilers, rocker panels, and underbody aero shields

• Collaborate with studio, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams

• Ensure gap & flush, manufacturability, styling, and reliability targets are achieved

• Participate in tooling reviews, prototype builds, validation, and launch support

✅ Required Skills:

• 7–8 years of automotive exterior trim design experience

• Strong CATIA V5/V6 proficiency

• Experience with thermoplastics, thermosets, Class A surfaces, and automotive paint processes

• Knowledge of tooling, aero integration, structural design, and vehicle packaging

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

🎓 Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
