Job Overview

Devonshire Recruiting & Consulting Partners is seeking a seasoned cybersecurity leader to serve as Security Operations & Resilience Director. The ideal candidate will oversee the evolution of Security Operations and Vulnerability Management, driving both day-to-day operational execution and long-term strategic maturity. The role partners directly with the Chief Information Security Officer and plays a critical part in enhancing enterprise readiness, response capabilities, and overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Security Operations with a focus on monitoring, detection, incident response, and increased automation across security workflows.
  • Develop, scale, and manage a comprehensive Vulnerability Management program spanning asset discovery, assessment, prioritization, remediation efforts, and reporting.
  • Build, mentor, and retain high-performing teams while promoting professional development and operational excellence.
  • Partner with the CISO and InfoSec leadership to advance strategic cybersecurity initiatives and strengthen security maturity across the organization.
  • Collaborate with technical and business leaders to embed security practices into operations, development, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Represent the security function in executive and board-level forums, translating technical concepts into clear, business-aligned guidance.
  • Drive change management initiatives that cultivate a security-first culture throughout the enterprise.
  • Ensure alignment with industry and regulatory frameworks, including NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with a minimum of 5 years in senior or executive leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing Security Operations, Incident Response, and Vulnerability Management programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong command of cybersecurity frameworks, risk reduction methodologies, and operational best practices.
  • Executive-level communication and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly valued certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC (preferred).
  • Ability to work on-site at the Westbrook, Maine headquarters or willingness to relocate.
