Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and take charge of all bookkeeping and accounting tasks that do not require a CPA. Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and investment accounts
- Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Assist with the preparation and management of budgets, with a focus on fixed government contracts
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve financial operations
- Provide support during audits and financial reviews
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, such as accrual accounting, depreciation, and amortization
- Experience with handling investments and managing budgets
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
