What are the responsibilities and job description for the SERVER position at Devil's Thumb Ranch?
Principal Purpose of Job:
Our jobs aren’t just about putting food on the table that our guests will enjoy until they ask for their bill. Instead, we want to build an experience that is memorable and unique – with food and drinks on the side. Our Guest Service Experts take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their meals. Whether setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting, and serving guests, or cleaning work areas and supplies, the Guest Service Expert makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and answer any questions they have about the menu
- provide excellent customer service and an enjoyable dining experience for our guest
- paying attention to any special requests or dietary restrictions
- Explain daily specials and take food and drink orders
- Put orders in and deliver food and drinks to customers
- Process checks and payments
- Help clean the table for the next customer
· Own and immediately resolve any guest complaints or problems with a positive attitude · Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Preparing restaurant tables with special attention
- Servers will complete open and closing side work.
- Other duties and responsibilities include seating, taking reservations, making drinks and being a team player.
Education/Experience:
- An outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality.
- Knowledgeable of menu to include alcoholic beverages that are available.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests at all levels.
- Food service experience Preferred but not required
