Job Description & Responsibilities
The role involves augmenting staff for data entry, processing, and verification of medical services records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing general data entry and indexing claims.
- Reviewing records and documentation for accuracy.
- Utilizing specialized systems (mainframe, Datacap, Provider Enrollment Portal, File Director) to verify data.
- Applying specific policies and procedures to data verification and quality control.
- Conducting provider or stakeholder outreach and managing the provider enrollment process.
- Monitoring activities to ensure completion by established deadlines.
- Verifying data against various sources both manually and technologically for claim verification.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following:
- System Proficiency: Thorough familiarity with Datacap, Provider Enrollment Portal, and File Director.
- Claims Knowledge: Understanding of claims documents, specifically CMS-1500 and UB-04 CMS-1450.
- Experience: A track history of performing these specific activities directly for the DSS.
- Process Expertise: Thorough knowledge of the provider enrollment and stakeholder outreach process.
- Compliance: Ability to work within a HIPAA-compliant environment.
