Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma-informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K-12 school, food services, 24/7 on-site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services.

OVERNIGHT Direct Care Professionals (DCP) provide direct supervision and assist the day-to-day schedule for campus individuals. Direct support duties include: helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de-escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, and fostering social skills. Other duties include documenting progress for daily, weekly, and monthly logs, adhering to the activity schedule, and attending weekly clinical supervision meetings. Direct care staff also assist with the planning and implementation of enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, various athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult-transition prep!

Pay Range: $19 - $20.90 / hr

Shift Differentials:  $2/hr. 11:00pm-7:00am, 7 days/wk.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or relevant field preferred
• Six (6) weeks of behavioral health work experience required
• OR Bachelor’s degree in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, education or other related field OR 12 years of related experience
• Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders

OTHER:

• Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) plus 2-3 weeks of on the job training
• Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
• Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
• Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
• Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
