Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Peer Support professional to join our team. As a Peer Support, you will provide guidance, encouragement, and support to individuals facing various challenges related to mental health, addiction, and behavioral health.
Duties
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage with individuals seeking support
- Offer peer counseling and mentorship to individuals in need
- Assist in crisis intervention and management situations
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement support plans
- Provide resources and referrals to appropriate services
- Share personal experiences to inspire hope and promote recovery
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in social work, addiction counseling, or mental health counseling
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and management
- Familiarity with behavioral health systems and resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and support individuals effectively
- Certification or training in peer support or related field is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
