Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with various accounting software. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial statements.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in account reconciliation processes.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for data entry and financial reporting.
- Assist in payroll management using systems like ADP or Kronos, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting is preferred.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and debits & credits is essential.
