Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM)/Estimator is responsible for assisting the Superintendent and Project Manager in the overall management of a project from inception to final acceptance.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Project document control such as submittals, RFI’s, change orders and project communication.
- Writes and Distributes Subcontractor and Owner Change Orders
- Assistant the Project Manager with new pricing requests and estimating as needed
- Electronic filing of all documents using the company’s server and construction management software (Procore). Maintains hard copy files as needed
- Drafts Subcontract Work Authorizations, and upon approval from the Project Manager, routes to all parties through final execution
- Complete accurate and timely submittal logs for the construction project based on the project drawings and specifications
- Manage submittals from the Architect or Engineer and notifying the Project Superintendent of potential schedule impacts or re-submittals
- Prepare as directed all necessary back up relating to change request, including the tracking of specification and plan changes
- Help in coordinating the efforts of all parties involved in the project, i.e., Owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc.
- Scheduling all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects and owners
- Take accurate and complete meeting minutes and distribute in a timely manner
- Attend Owner/Architect pre-construction, project and closeout meetings
- Requisition supplies and materials as needed for the jobsite office
- Timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract
- Maintains positive relations with the public, governmental authorities, owner, architect, engineer and all others involved with the project
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience, and computer literate
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized; able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word ,Excel, Project, Outlook) Experience working in Procore Preferred
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
