Salary: $64,373 - $99,486

Reports to: Deputy Superintendent of Partnerships

Bargaining Unit: N/A

Telecommuting Eligibility: Eligible for up to 40% telecommuting (two (2) days per week)

Position Summary

As a significant member of the DPSCD's Partnerships team, the Project Manager works with the Deputy Superintendent to support the Partnership identification, development and implementation lifecycle. The Project Manager will work across divisions and support all key partnership agreement development to ensure the Partners are aligned with the Blueprint 2027 Strategic Vision so the district can fulfill its commitment to its students, families, staff and community partners. The Project Manager will be specifically responsible for key tasks associated with the management of the Partnership lifecycle, such as creating and maintaining MOU agreements, supporting the design and implementation of strong performance management systems for the department, maintaining a culture of excellent Customer Service for internal and external customers, and building capacity through an efficient Partner referral system.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess and provide evidence of a Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an institution accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools or an equivalent higher education agency
  • Master¿s Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of urban education experience, non-profit experience and/or foundation experience, including expertise with strategy execution, project management systems, the continuous improvement cycle and capacity building in the K-12 context. Experience in K-12 education, organizational leadership, and internal/external partner engagement are preferred
  • Expertise in prioritizing workflow, managing resources, contract management/development and policy development. Detail oriented in coordinating activities; and experience working in interdisciplinary academic programs.
  • Interest in and aptitude for handling a wide variety of responsibilities at once in a very hands-on manner, at varying levels or complexity, with excellent attention to detail and consistent high quality of output.
  • A clear commitment to setting and upholding high standards for students and the adults who serve them is essential.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong technical skills in areas that would build the capacity of the district, such as expertise with Customer Relationship Management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, PeopleSoft, Qualtrics or a proven ability support the develop of long-term strategic visions.
  • Key skills include: Supervisory experience, strong written/verbal communication, ability to facilitate small and large meetings, cross-functional collaboration, Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Flow, PeopleSoft, Qualtrics, Mail Merge, outstanding presentation skills, strategic planning and event planning.

Essential Functions

  • Under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent of Partnerships and Innovation, the Project Manager for Office of Partnerships will:
  • Supervise the MOU process and Partnership lifecycle, leading MOU negotiations in alignment with District priorities and escalating key issues to the Deputy Superintendent.
  • Design systems and procedures that streamline the Partnership lifecycle, minimize duplication, build capacity within district divisions and ensure alignment with school needs.
  • Support the Deputy Superintendent in developing strategic plans, MOU knowledge management systems, and a performance management system with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and communicate results.
  • Initiate, develop and maintain district partnerships in coordination with relevant DPSCD departments, including a relationship management plan capturing Partners¿ impact, resources, expertise and past performance.
  • Establish internal/external customer service and Partner communication protocols that demonstrate efficiency, thorough follow-up and inquiry closure.
  • Support partner and philanthropic landscape reviews and partner engagement campaigns aligned to Blueprint 2027, and collaborate with the DPSCD Foundation.
  • Develop and implement Partnership kick-off and recognition events as needed.
  • Manage the donations process, payroll, requisitions, purchase orders and the Office of Partnerships budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent of Partnerships and Innovation.
