Position Summary
In accordance with the Agreement between the Detroit Association of Educational Office Employees (DAEOE) and the Detroit Public Schools Community District, the following vacancy is announced:
The Clerical II will support the front office by greeting visitors and parents, assisting with enrollment and general clerical office functions daily.
Minimum Qualifications
Internal Applicants
If you are a current Detroit Public Schools Community District employee, you do not have to submit to a new security clearance, unless your new role requires a different type of criminal background check.
External Applicants
In alignment with Michigan law, if you are hired to fill a position, you will be required to submit to a Detroit Public Schools Community District criminal background check. Information regarding required background checks will be shared at point of hire.

Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- One or more years of accounting coursework helpful.
- Must have one to two years related bookkeeping work experience required; candidate must be familiar Microsoft Office -- Word, Excel, Access; experience with QuickBooks software, etc.
- Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

- Monitor the procurement of goods and services utilizing the Districts e-procurement system. This includes creating requisitions, receiving on goods and services and following up on outstanding purchase orders.
