Job Summary:
The Personal Trainer leads, instructs, and motivates individuals or groups in exercise activities. They are experts in fitness training and work with members to reach their exercise and wellness goals. Their duties include planning and supervising workout regimens, coaching members on their form during exercise and tracking fitness and performance goals over time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate member’s fitness levels and health conditions.
- Build individualized exercise programs.
- Explain exercises in detail and suggest alternatives if needed.
- Monitor progress of member’s fitness levels
- Explain safe and proper use of gym equipment.
- Lead both individual and group training sessions
- Research new exercise techniques and trends
- Promote the club’s fitness packages and plans.
- Perform CPR and administer first aid in case of emergencies.
- Inform members about gym safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Build a positive and trusting relationship with members.
- Advise members on nutritional and lifestyle habits as needed
- Maintain a personal commitment to meeting the needs of members and clients
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain cleanliness of machines and equipment
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a personal trainer or relevant role
- Knowledge of various fitness programs, from basic exercises to more challenging training sessions
- Ability to guide and motivate clients
- Available to work flexible hours
- Excellent communication skills
- Certificates in CPR, first aid, and current Personal Training Certification (including but not limited to NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ACE)
- Must be 18 years of age.
