Summary
The Industrial Controls Development & Commissioning Engineer leads the design, programming, integration, and deployment of advanced control and safety systems across the equipment lifecycle. This role emphasizes Siemens PLC platforms, functional safety, robotics integration, and SCADA systems for high‑output environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Siemens PLC control systems.
- Architect SCADA systems using Ignition Perspective.
- Design industrial control panels for 480VAC/24VDC systems.
- Configure vision systems, robotics, sensors, actuators, and communication devices.
- Implement safety PLCs, fail‑safe I/O, servos, VFDs, and ProfiSafe devices.
- Develop safety architectures in alignment with ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and ISO 10218.
- Program PLCs using ST(SCL), LAD, FBD, and SFC.
- Develop UDTs, HMI faceplates, and distributed Ignition architectures.
- Integrate Profinet, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, and network infrastructure.
- Design and validate Fanuc robotic cell integrations.
- Provide mentorship and collaborate with engineering teams.
Qualifications
- High proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal and Ignition SCADA.
- Knowledge of ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and ISO 10218 safety standards.
- Experience with revision control tools including GitHub and Siemens Project Server.
- Ability to integrate multi‑vendor control systems or retrofit brownfield equipment.
- Experience with safety‑rated motion and machine safeguarding.
- Experience with Fanuc robots and automation integration.
Preferred Skills
- Fanuc robot programming certification.
- Ignition Core Certification or higher.
- Experience with ROBOGUIDE simulations.
- Understanding of robotic safety standards per ISO 10218.
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
