What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supportive Living/Sober Living House Manager position at Destiny Recovery Center LLC?
Destiny Recovery Center is looking for a reliable individual who has a minimum of 2 years clean and sober who works a program preferable who has worked in the field of recovery with a solid knowledge of SUD and Mental Health to be a live-in house manager for our co-ed Supportive-Housing.
A lot of residents come from our in-patient SUD program and opt to do our Mental Health Primary program so we need someone who is loving, kind and compassionate to mental health but also holds firm boundaries, this is also a home where other residents just opt to live there because it is safe, clean and well-ran.
Responsibilities include:
-assigning weekly chores and ensuring they are done
-doing an orientation to every resident upon arrival to rules / giving clients supplies that we supply
-room checks every couple days randomized
-UA's randomized
-Breathalyzer's nightly
-conducting a weekly house meeting /double scrub with clients
-ensuring constant supportive communication with residents so they feel it is a supportive environment at all times
-Occasional rides to the grocery store/meetings for those that do not have transportation
-Communication to the clinical team for those in the program so clinical can support any behaviors that need to be addressed
-High integrity and boundaries are required and a solid program; being about to have self care and knowing the difference between your role and those that are vulnerable and need support in early recovery is an absolute must.
