Join the culinary team at The Club at Spruce Peak, where fresh, elevated cuisine meets Vermont ’ s premier mountain resort experience. We ’ re seeking a passionate Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen operations and deliver exceptional dining for every guest and member.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and culinary strategy
  • Oversee food preparation to ensure top ‑ tier quality, consistency, presentation, and flavor
  • Manage ordering, inventory, vendor relationships, and cost ‑ control initiatives
  • Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, safety, and sanitation
  • Train, mentor, and guide kitchen staff to foster a positive, high ‑ performance team
  • Assist with recipe development, testing, and seasonal menu innovation
  • Ensure smooth communication across culinary, stewarding, and F&B teams
  • Step into leadership roles as needed to support overall kitchen success

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 1-2 years of guest service experience in a hotel or resort environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in fine dining or high ‑ volume culinary environments
  • Culinary degree or ACF certification preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to guest needs
  • Commitment to quality, consistency, and exceptional guest service
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
