Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.

Hourly Rate: $12.14 plus tips

Position Overview: Bar tenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards; with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar . This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity, and allows for building on one’s style and previous bar tending experiences. Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly and courteously as they walk up to the pool bar
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
• Efficiently and accurately take drink orders, prepare them promptly, and serve beverages with attention to detail and presentation. Ensure all orders are prepared in compliance with company standards and specific customer requests.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Balance receipts and ensure payment is received from guests.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Fill out daily requisition form for restocking products and supplies
• Handle payments accurately using POS system
• Upsell specials and signature cocktails
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in an upscale environment preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays from Memorial Day until Labor Day
