ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee and supervise the smooth flow of service during operational hours, ensuring excellent guest experiences.
• Provide wine recommendations to guests, tailored to individual preferences, while enhancing their dining experience.
• Support staff with wine knowledge, including informal wine training sessions to help them better serve guests.
• Maintain the wine list and assist in inventory management and ordering, ensuring stock levels meet demand.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area.
• Collaborate with management on guest feedback and special requests to continually improve service quality.
• Assist in daily setup, operations, and close-down procedures, ensuring the bar is always guest-ready.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and stay up to date with new wines and beverage offerings.
• Resolve guest concerns swiftly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Level 1 Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, preferred.
• A strong passion for hospitality and wine service, with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of food and beverage service standards.
• Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, professional demeanor with an emphasis on providing warm, guest-centered service.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
