Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rodbuster to join our construction team. The Rodbuster will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and tying reinforcing steel bars (rebar) to form the structural components of buildings, bridges, roads, and other concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand construction plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine rebar requirements for projects
- Cut, bend, and fabricate rebar according to project specifications using tools such as rebar benders and cutters
- Assemble and tie rebar cages and grids using wire, ensuring correct placement and alignment
- Install rebar in concrete forms following specified patterns and spacing to reinforce concrete structures
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols
- Collaborate with construction team members, contractors, and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects
- Inspect and verify the accuracy and quality of completed rebar work
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Rodbuster or rebar worker in the construction industry
- Proficiency in interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Ability to use rebar bending and cutting tools effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly and tying of rebar
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and maneuver heavy rebar materials
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in construction work
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in rebar fabrication and installation is a plus
