What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Reliability Technician position at Design Molded Plastics - Macedonia Facility?
Step into a day that’s never the same twice
You start by reviewing the preventive maintenance queue—checking oil levels, inspecting hydraulics, and testing electrical systems to keep failures at bay. A call comes in: a machine is down. You diagnose the issue, repair the equipment, and then pivot to building care—patching drywall, adjusting door hardware, or replacing a damaged flooring tile. Before the day ends, you refresh paint where needed, tidy up landscaping touchpoints, and swap out lighting to keep the facility bright and safe.
What you’ll handle
- Preventive maintenance on schedule, including oil checks, hydraulic inspections, and electrical system testing.
- Repairs and troubleshooting for equipment and machinery, plus structural fixes such as drywall, doors, and flooring.
- Facility upkeep across interiors and exteriors—painting, basic landscaping tasks, and lighting maintenance.
- Rapid response to urgent issues, including occasional on-call support during off hours.
- Clear, accurate documentation of all work and adherence to health and safety requirements.
What you bring
- Hands-on mastery with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Calm, efficient problem-solving—even when the clock is ticking.
- Physical readiness to lift heavy items, work in tight spaces, and stay on your feet for long stretches.
