Renowned ultra-luxury residential interior design firm in San Francisco is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team!Intermediate Level Interior Designer/Project ManagerCandidate Responsibilities: Work with Studio Director and team on project programming, design, decoration and planning, drafting plans, elevations and custom furniture in CAD, sourcing, budgeting, presentations, scheduling, producing detailed FF&E spec schedules and corresponding documentation to architects and contractors, proposing items, reporting project status, follow up—ensuring the quality and accuracy of each project from concept to final installation. Willingness and appetite to take ownership of project. Ability to take lead on smaller design projects and project manage large projects.We are seeking talented candidates with excellent leadership and team facilitation skills, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate intent, plans, status, issues, alternatives, solutions, and to resolve conflicts. Candidate must also be discreet and have ability to correspond with high-profile clients. Candidate will work directly with the studio director to project manage multiple projects in state and out of state.Applicants must possess an interest in and the ability to work with a fast-paced team and take direction, as appropriate. The candidate must be a strategic thinker who pays attention to detail but also is a self-starter. All applicants should be highly organized, detail-oriented and have ability to work on a variety of projects. Applicants must have strong communication skills in order to work well within a team setting but also have enough experience and drive to work autonomously. Passion for interior design, is a must.This position is a work from office position with meetings at the office with team for design presentations. The position requires visits to showrooms, vendor workrooms, receiving warehouse, sites and occasional travel for out of state projects. Candidate must live in the San Francisco Bay Area.JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDEBachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture and Design or in ArchitectureStrong Proficiency in AutoCADProficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop to prepare presentations, mood boards and rendered elevationsBe comfortable working in all areas of design (concept design, presentations, purchasing, project management, installations, etc.)Demonstrated knowledge of materials, fabrics, applications, and specifications in the following areas: Hard finishes, custom furnishings, millwork design, material selection and specificationMinimum 8-12 years of demonstrated experience with interior design firm with complex, full-cycle project design and management in high-end residential interiors in a project manager/designer role.Extensive knowledge of San Francisco interior design trade sources and showrooms, custom furniture design.
